E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org) is a Graphical Powder Diffraction Analysis program which includes; specimen dispacement, aberration correction, background stripping, alpha-2 stripping, smoothing, peak offset determination, peak find. Integrated programs include Treor indexing, Simpro, Lapod and Lazy Pulvarix. It is freely available for academic and non-commercial use.
The present Beta version is downloadable off the web as password protected ZIP file(s). The password can be obtained by E-mailing the author, Cheng Dong, at email@example.com. As this is a beta version, the author wishes to ensure anyone who obtains the program is notified of updates and the official version.
Extract the Zip files with PKZip for Windows or WinZIP, inserting the password when prompted. PowderX installs via a standard Windows setup program. To install a newer version of PowderX over a previous installation, you may have to manually move the old files else the installation may not work.
